Evans BD18EMADHW Editorial Review
The Evans Bass Drum Head BD22EMADHW is a high-quality option for drummers looking for a durable and punchy sound. With multiple levels of dampening, it offers versatility for a variety of music genres, particularly metal and rock. The default setup provides a full-bodied sound that is both powerful and resonant. Customers have praised the impact that this drum head has had on their overall drum set sound. Even those with cheaper drum sets have noticed a significant improvement in sound quality just by replacing their old drum head with the Evans Bass Drum Head. However, there have been a few complaints about the durability of the product. One customer reported that one of the 10mil plies had ruptured after only two months of use, despite minimal wear and tear. While this may be an isolated incident, it raises concerns about the longevity of the drum head. Overall, the Evans Bass Drum Head BD22EMADHW offers a powerful and punchy sound that is well-suited for metal and rock drummers. However, potential buyers should be aware of the possibility of durability issues.
