Squire Editorial Review
The Squire Combi Bolt Door Lock (COMBI4) is a high-security gate lock designed for home and garage use. With its 4-wheel combination locking bolt, weatherproof die-cast body, and tamper-proof slide bolt, it promises durability and reliability. One of the standout features of this lock is its one-way security screws, which provide added security and prevent unauthorized removal. However, it's worth noting that once these screws are in, they cannot be easily undone without drilling or using other engineering techniques. In terms of installation, the lock can be fixed using the provided screws, which are positioned using the correct alignment. The distance between screw holes on the main body of the lock is approximately 70mm horizontally and 35mm vertically. As for rust resistance, a user reported using the lock outdoors for two years and not experiencing any signs of rust. This suggests that the lock is suitable for outdoor installations as well. However, there have been customer reports of the lock breaking after only a few months of use. While the product comes with a 10-year guarantee, some users have expressed disappointment with the durability, referring to it as a "SNAPLOCK." It is worth Considering these reports when deciding on the purchase. Overall, the Squire Combi Bolt Door Lock offers high security with its combination locking mechanism and tamper-proof features. It is visually appealing and rust-resistant. However, there have been some concerns raised about its durability, and customers should take this into Consideration before purchasing.
