Zildjian Hi-Hat ZIL LV8014HP Editorial Review
The Zildjian 14 L80 Low Volume Hi Hats have garnered a largely positive reception among customers who are seeking a quieter alternative for practice purposes without sacrificing the acoustic feel. Many users appreciate the authentic sound and responsive feel that these hi-hats deliver, comparing them favorably against traditional rubber options typically found with electronic drum kits. The low volume of these cymbals allows drummers to practice without disturbing others, making them particularly popular for use in multifamily living situations. Many players noted that the sound is pleasantly balanced when using open-back headphones, allowing for a nice mix of acoustic and electronic sounds during practice. While most users are thrilled with the performance, a few remarks do indicate that some nuances were less pronounced compared to regular hi-hats. For instance, the bell sound may not be as clear, and the difference between open and closed sounds could be more distinct for some players. Despite these points, the Consensus leans heavily towards satisfaction, especially highlighted by a user who enthusiastically noted the absence of a need for earplugs during play. Importantly, there was a complaint from one customer regarding an incomplete order, emphasizing the importance of ensuring that both cymbals are included when purchasing. However, this does not detract from the overall functionality and enjoyment that the Zildjian L80 hi-hats provide. **
