Radial Engineering Direct Boxes R800 3002 00 Editorial Review
The Radial Engineering J48 Stereo Active Direct Box is an ideal tool for musicians who use keyboard, bass or guitar and want to have a superior sound quality without hum and noise distortion. It is an upgrade from the J48 mono, with stereo inputs it can be used for two mono inputs, two acoustic guitars, or two mono keyboards, ideal for low-output stereo setups. The build is sturdy and durable. However, it is not intended for use with laptops, a different box for that purpose is available from Radial. It is possible to use both bass and guitar plug-ins at the same time, but it will produce a single output. This box will be satisfactory for a quick gig, but a device with two outputs and inputs would be a better fit for more complex setups.
