Is this pre-cooked couscous (the just add water and rest for 5 minutes kind) or is this prepared using the traditional moisten, swell, & steam method?
Answer: We had never used this product before and the instructions said pour in boiling water and let sit for 5 minutes so that is what we did. The grain are very small (much smaller than Israeli couscous, for example) so they easily absorbed the hot water. The couscous was delicious. I have another 500 g jar and we are going to try the steaming method. I don’t believe the couscous is pre-cooked. Highly recommend it.
