The Luna Fauna Series Dolphin Quilted Maple Concert Ukulele is a beautifully crafted instrument that is both visually striking and musically satisfying. It has a little electronic component which means it is compatible with amplifiers, however, it sounds just fine when played as a totally acoustic instrument. This concert-sized ukulele plays very nice and sounds great, producing great sound quality even without an amp. Reviewers mention that the instrument is in tune up and down the fretboard, and the strings sound perfect with little need for tuning. One user mentioned the strings were made out of a hybrid gut/nylon blend that sounded nice and ring well. Having giant hands, this uke was particularly helpful since the frets are a bit spread out for a concert. It is perfect for both beginners and experienced players looking to upgrade.
