Epic Editorial Review
**Editorial Review** "Rise of the Forgotten: The Sword of Dragons Book 1" by Jon Wasik has garnered a positive reception from readers, establishing itself as a captivating entry into the medieval fantasy genre. Many reviewers are enthusiastic about the engaging storyline and the author's skill in creating tension, with one reader already planning to adapt the book into a Dungeons and Dragons campaign. The characters, particularly the protagonist Cardin, are described as relatable and likable, helping readers forge a connection with their journey. The narrative effectively balances a cast of characters by introducing multiple perspectives, although some readers had reservations about the pacing of these transitions, preferring a deeper exploration of individual characters before shifting points of view. One reviewer pointed out a straightforward antagonist, contrasting with a secondary villain whose motivations lacked complexity; however, this didn’t detract significantly from the overall enjoyment of the book. The story’s resolution, which concludes with the protagonists overcoming evil, has been well-received, leaving room for future adventures while providing a satisfying closure. "Rise of the Forgotten" not only instills a sense of achievement but also generates excitement for the continuation of the series, as many readers express their intent to delve into subsequent installments. In short, Jon Wasik's debut has struck a chord with fans of fantasy literature, promising an engaging and adventurous journey that many are eager to follow. **
