Has anybody found the free end of the twine?
Answer: If you use the free end on the outside of the ball it will not dispense freely. You have to find the end that is tucked in the middle or create a free end from a middle loop. -

Answer: No, it does not. You can use a small pair of scissors held around the tin by a rubber band as an alternative. -

Answer: The top part that string slides through slides right off easily. -

Answer: No, the hole does not grip the twine. However, the twine disappearing back into the dispenser hasn't been a problem. -

Answer: Unwind from the center of the ball of twine. -

Does the holder weigh enough to resist if you pull with one hand?
Answer: No, the container is very light and one out of every five pulls may cause the string to jam up. -

Answer: Can vary, took my cat ten minutes - sarcasm intended. -

Is this twine fine enough for making tea bags?
Answer: The twine is pretty heavy duty, so it may not be suitable for making tea bags. However, this is just a guess. -

Answer: Not marked on the container, but norpro products are made in the USA. The steel it is made of may have been imported.

The Norpro Stainless Steel Holder with Cotton Cooking Twine is a convenient tool for keeping cooking string clean and untangled. It makes preparing to cook much quicker and easier, especially when using it with an air fryer. The holder does not have a built-in cutter for the twine, but a small pair of scissors or a cutter can be used. The top part of the holder can easily be slid off for opening and it is easy to use and clean. The hole in the holder does not grip the twine, but the twine disappearing back into the dispenser is not a problem. The twine can be unwound from the center of the ball. However, the holder is not heavy enough to resist when pulling with one hand, and there is a chance of the string jamming up during use. The twine is not fine enough for making tea bags. The holder is not marked as made in the USA, but Norpro products are generally made in the USA.
