The Arturia KeyLab Essential mk3 is a 61 Key USB MIDI Keyboard Controller designed for producing music, and it comes with Analog Lab V Software. It works with Mac OS 11.0+ or Windows 10+ (64bit) and is exclusively USB-powered, with no Bluetooth connectivity. The keys on the mk3 61 essential are larger than the minilab 3 keys, and it does not have holes for a stand strap. However, the package comes with a USB-C to USB-A cable, and it is emphasized that the keyboard does not have sounds built into it and serves as a MIDI controller for use with a computer or electronic musical instrument. Customer reviews varied. Some users found it a fantastic MIDI keyboard, particularly for production, and appreciated its simplicity and compatibility with their favorite DAW. The Analog Lab V Software was positively mentioned for its great instruments and synths. Some users appreciated the customizability of the keyboard with user presets, although there were reports of missing or defective USB cables in the package. It was also noted that the keyboard may be overwhelming for beginners, but it was well-suited for composing and recording music using various DAWs.
